EXTERIOR
Part of the very expensive Monogram Supertallic range, this stunning MG TF is one of only nine cars finished in the amazing Biomorphic Green, (Code IAF). The condition of this factory original example is entirely commensurate with the amazing credentials of 11,942 miles and just two owners. The paint finish is absolutely sensational and the high metallic fleck in the sun really pops. All trim sections, glass, lights and badges are as new and the factory optional and original Green hood is perfect. The remarkable underside is beautifully clean with PDI marking still visible and the original panels even display factory spot welds to the wheel arches. Strictly garaged from day one and used only in dry weather, this is a truly exceptional example of one of the rarest and highly collectable MG TF range.
INTERIOR
The full black leather interior, (Code PUU), was another expensive factory option which extends to the leather swathed door inserts and centre console lids and the chrome ashtray part of the Bright Trim Pack. Having covered just 11,942 miles, the interior can only be described as stunning. The flawless dashboard houses fully functioning switchgear and original stereo and quality genuine MG carpet mats have been fitted from new. The chunky leather trimmed steering wheel displays a matt finish with prominent veins found only on super low mileage cars. A surprisingly large rear boot is pristine and the spotless front compartment displays PDI dabs and all factory plates and stickers fully intact. A sports car interior in perfect condition.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original four cylinder 1796cc engine produces 136bhp at 6700rpm and 165Nm torque at 5000rpm enabling a top speed of 127mph and 0-60 in just 8.2 seconds. The mid-mounted engine and rear wheel drive configuration display all the correct sports car credentials to ensure optimum driving enjoyment! The short throw sports ratio five speed gearbox completes the package and actively encourages enthusiastic changes! To drive a super-low mileage and unmolested example is something many MG TF owners can now only imagine.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
A feature of the Sport Pack 2 are 16” 11 spoke alloy wheels which remain as new with original MG badged centre caps. The front and rear tyres of size 195/45 R16 and 215/40 R16 respectively are branded and matching all round with masses of tread. The original jack and brace are stored in the leatherette bag. The braking system incorporates electronic anti-lock assistance as well as uprated front disc brakes and red callipers, another Sport Pack 2 feature.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by MG Main Dealer, Soul Garages Ltd in Buckinghamshire, this TF was registered on the 7th October 2005. Biomorphic Green was a Monogram Supertallic special colour applied to the MG range and just nine TF’s were made in this amazing colour! MG Owners Club records reveal of the nine, eight were the TF 135 model and one was the TF 115. This example is number 9/9 with a build date of the 12th August 2004.
The car caught the eye of the first owner while on display in the showroom at main MG dealer Soul Garages and it was indeed the colour that drew his attention! Unable to get the car out of his mind and unexcited by his people carrier daily transport, he mentioned the MG to his wife who suggested he buy it! A new car sales invoice made out to the first owner details the extensive factory options and the total price paid being £21,377. The car remained with the first owner for 18 years whereby regular servicing and maintenance was carried out and the car was always garaged. There has been just one further keeper who purchased the car in early 2023. A certificate in the history file from an MG specialist dated April 2023 confirms a replacement cambelt and water pump and fitting of an uprated head gasket. The original handbook and service book are present in the plastic MG wallet and there are two original keys with fobs. This pristine MG TF is without question one of the best-preserved original examples in existence with added rarity kudos and just 11,942 miles so is firmly one for the MG enthusiast.
